We have been running Meditation courses and drop-in Buddhist Meditation classes and retreats in South Bristol for some years, and a small community of regular visitors and supporters has slowly grown up. This website has been designed to help everyone keep in touch, and let you know about our regular term-time Thursday evening classes and other retreats, events and meetings in South Bristol.
Click on the 3-Jewels opposite for news about the FWBO, the Buddhist organisation inspiring our classes in South Bristol.

As some of you may know, the FWBO is proposing a national Urban Retreat between 20th and 27th June 2009. An Urban Retreat is usually a week of meditation and study held in the City, rather than as usual in the countryside. Most people find it very difficult and challenging to maintain a practice in the City, so an Urban retreat is a good opportunity to go beyond these challenges and come together and actually meditate quite intensely for a period. Most people are quite surprised that meditating with others makes it much easier to establish or re-establish their Practice of Meditation, rather than trying to 'go it alone' while fitting it into busy daily routines? The commitment to practice regularly for a whole week while living in the City is a good incentive to show that it is possible to have a busy life style and also keep meditating.
We will be joining in with this Urban Retreat in South Bristol with these events:
